Teaching independent swimming from birth, Puddle Ducks want every child to love swimming, respect the water and swim beautifully. Lessons are taught in specially selected pools with limited class sizes

Swim Academy Level 1

Our Swim Academy classes are designed to teach school children how to swim beautifully and efficiently as well as essential water safety and life-saving skills. Our Level 1 class is for beginners who are not yet able to swim independently. We normally have 2 teachers in the water, and a maximum of 8 children. Some of our classes operate with only 4 children with 1 teacher in the water. We teach a natural and smooth swimming style, starting with simple skills that we build on in line with your child's physical ability and confidence. These are balanced with fun activities to develop skills including life-saving, floating and surface-diving. Once a term, all children can take part in our life-saving pyjama week where they learn about how to react to the difference in buoyancy with their clothes on.
