Kids have so much fun they don’t even realise the positive life skills they are learning. In 1st Innings Little Wickets sessions the fun warm-up games, skill based activities & soft ball cricket games build on the ‘FUNdamentals of Movement’, enhancing the kids hand/eye co-ordination, physical fitness, a sense of co-operation & fair play. It’s not a cricket match. However, there is a clear focus on ‘The Spirit of Cricket’, good sportsmanship, team-work, individual skill development and game play. The kids grow in confidence and start to build a lifelong commitment and passion for team sport. Most importantly the emphasis is always on joining in and having fun! The coaches always encourage the kids to join in as independently as possible. The indoor 45 minute sessions run year-round during term time. They are led by our enthusiastic, experienced, qualified and fully vetted coaches and a coaching assistant. Places are limited to ensure the coach-to-child ratio is kept low and to maximise individual participation. Parents are required to remain on site.
