Every child deserves to feel safe, happy, and included and the early years are crucial for
building confidence, curiosity, and social skills. Children’s Mental Health Week, organised by
Place2Be, celebrates just that. This year’s theme, “This is My Place”, reminds us how
important it is for little ones to find spaces where they feel they belong, can explore, and can
grow. (childrensmentalhealthweek.org.uk)
For babies, toddlers, and preschoolers, these feelings aren’t built through words alone, they
grow through play, movement, learning, and social interaction. At Little Starts, we believe
that giving children the chance to attend fun, developmental classes is one of the best ways
to support early wellbeing.
Participating in classes like Baby Sensory, Rugby Tots, or Water Babies helps children:
Even simple experiences, like splashing in a water session or taking part in a music activity,
can have a big impact on a child’s happiness and sense of belonging.
Our Little Starts Gift Cards let parents, grandparents, and carers choose the perfect classes
for their little ones. This Children’s Mental Health Week, they’re a wonderful way to:
1. Encourage Exploration and Development
Children can try activities suited to their age and interests - from sensory play for babies to
sports classes for toddlers - helping them learn new skills in a safe, playful way.
2. Support Social Connection
Classes are more than just fun; they’re opportunities for children to meet friends, interact,
and feel part of a group - reinforcing the theme “This is My Place.”
3. Strengthen Family Bonds
Little Starts experiences are designed for parents or caregivers to join in the fun, building
routines, sharing laughter, and celebrating little achievements together.
